

The American Heart Association(AHA)/ Irish Heart Foundation (IHF) Heartsaver CPR & AED in Healthcare training course is a 3-hour programme which provides attendees with the techniques of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and the relief of choking for adults, children and infants.

The Heartsaver AED course follows a practice-while-watching video format and is led by instructors who will provide feedback and guide you through the lessons and help improve your CPR technique as you practice on a manikin.
Participants can opt to take the adult portion of this course only (which covers adult CPR and use of the AED) and this can be done in two-hours.
Participant who can demonstrate high quality CPR at the end of the course will receive an IHF/AHA Heartsaver AED course completion card which is valid for two years.
The course takes approximately 3 hours to complete and course participants are evaluated by skills testing and a written multiple choice exam.
If you are able to successfully complete both the skills and written exam assessment components of the course you will receive an Irish Heart Foundation Heartsaver AED certificate that is valid for 2 years.
