Do the courses/does the course include graded assessments?
Yes, all certificate courses include graded assessments to evaluate both your understanding and your ability to apply key concepts. These assessments are designed to help you create tangible outputs, such as sustainability action plans or strategies, that you can directly apply in your current or future professional roles.

When and where can I submit my assessment?
Assessments must be submitted during the ISS Assessment Window, which is held every two months. Submissions are made via email to the official ISS assessment address. Detailed submission instructions and deadlines are available on the course page within the Learning Management System (LMS), which you gain access to upon enrolment.

When will I receive my results?
Your assessment will be reviewed by the ISS academic team, and results will be released in the month following your chosen assessment window. You will be notified via email once your results are available.

What will be the grading criteria for the assessment?
Grading criteria will be tailored to each assessment’s specific nature and scope. Emphasis will be placed on practical application, critical thinking, and strategic insight rather than purely numerical performance.

Assessments will be evaluated across three categories:

• Distinction 85 – 100 – Demonstrates exceptional understanding and application. Work is consistently insightful, original, and of a high professional standard.
• Merit 75 – 84 – Demonstrates strong understanding with thoughtful analysis and application. Work is well-structured, clearly communicated, and above standard expectations.
• Pass 70 – 74 – Demonstrates adequate understanding and application. Meets the essential requirements with some minor areas for improvement.

What are the prerequisites for enrolling in this course?
There are no strict prerequisites for this Sustainable Finance training. However, having some general background knowledge may be helpful for fully understanding the concepts covered in the programme.

How long does the course take to complete?
This Sustainable Finance course is self-paced, allowing participants to complete the curriculum at their convenience. Typically, participants can complete the course within 3 to 5 hours, depending on their pace of learning.

How long do I have access to the course?
You have 6 months’ access to the course materials and masterclasses. You can spread your self-paced learning accordingly.

Will I receive any certification upon completion of the course?
Yes, upon successful completion of the Sustainable Finance course, you will receive a course completion certificate issued by the Institute of Sustainability Studies.

Please familiarise yourself with the course instructions below:

1. An internet/WIFI connection is required – broadband wired or wireless. A 4G or 5G data signal is NOT suitable as signal coverage can drop and affect the recording of your course completion. We would also recommend you complete this course on a PC or laptop as there can be compatibility issues with some older models of smartphones.
2. Should you launch the course, get distracted and return to it sometime later, please ensure you exit, log out and back in again and relaunch it. We advise this in case the system timed out while you stepped away, which would result in the system not recording your course completion.
