Our Environmental and Sustainability Awareness course is designed to raise awareness about the environmental issues caused by human activities, such as global warming, climate change, pollution, depletion of natural resources, and loss of biodiversity.

Environmental sustainability is about ecological balance. For nearly two millennia, humans have been carbonising our planet, which has contributed to global climate change. According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the United Nations body for assessing the science related to climate change, it is undeniable that human actions have impacted the planet, resulting in the warming of the atmosphere, ocean, and land.

  • The major environmental problems our planet is facing.
  • Greenhouse gases and the human activities that emit them.
  • How human activities affect natural resources, biodiversity and human health.
  • The importance of sustainability in addressing environmental, social, and economic challenges.

Assessment

The test your knowledge topic contains a number of multiple-choice questions which form a short assessment. A pass mark of 70% is required to successfully complete the course.

On successful completion of this programme, learners will gain a certificate of completion in Environmental and Sustainability Awareness.
