

Our QQI Safety and Health at Work course is a great starting point for anybody looking to become involved in health and safety or for those of you who have experience, this course will give you a formal qualification in health and safety as it is on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) at level 5.
Delivered online through ZOOM, our 4-day QQI Safety and Health at Work course will equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence to promote and maintain health and safety in your work environment. It will also give you an indication if health and safety is for you and if it is something you want to progress further with in your career.
For in-house course delivery requests, we can provide the training in-person or online through Zoom or Microsoft Teams, or a mixture of both.

Do I need to download the Zoom App to access the course?
You can join your meeting on the Zoom app but users can also join Zoom meetings or webinars from their web browser and bypass downloading Zoom. Simply, locate the meeting invite link from your email or calendar invitation. Click the join link to join the meeting. If a pop-up window prompts you to open or install the Zoom desktop app, click Cancel.
There are no specific requirements for this course however you must be competent in the written and spoken language which the course is being delivered in. This is English unless otherwise indicated.
Safety and Health at Work Certificate 5N1794 – Level 5 on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ).
This component has a credit value of 15. Successful completion of this course enables the learner to transfer to programmes leading to other certificates where this component is a mandatory or an elective requirement.

A Safety Representative is elected by the staff and acts as a go-between with Staff and Management. They do not hold any responsibility regarding Health and Safety in the Workplace however, they would be excepted to guide the HSA on a site visit to the workplace.
The National Framework of Qualifications describes what learners need to know, understand and be able to do, to achieve a qualification. It lists the main qualifications awarded at each level and pathways from one NFQ level to the next.
